Does anyone have a plan or any ideas for a circle cutting jig that I can make for use with a router.

John,Chapter 15 of Patrick Spielman's 'New Router Handbook' covers just about every circle-cutting jig known! In case you can't lay hands on a copy, the simplest jig you can make is a suitable strip of masonite of a suitable length, with the router fasteed to one end and a nail in the other!

The jig that Johnno suggested above will work for all your needs. Remove the plastic shoe from your router and use it as a template to create another one from thin ply or melomine sheet. Make the new shoe oversize to one side so that you can attach another length of scrap to act as your radius arm. I have used this jig to cut circles as small as 300mm and to shape the top of doors using a radius in excess of two metres.
