Famous last words, wood turning is more addictive than any drug.
The MC900 is only $100 more than the 1018 so my advice would be get the MC900 and have a lot more scope for future work.

OK, I agree.

But there must be turners out there that have upgraded from the MC900 to a real lathe.

If you have a redundant lathe that you would like to sell, and are within a few hours drive of Melbourne, let me know.
