5/16 Brass

Can anyone help with the tapping drill size for 5/16 Brass threads. None of my charts list Brass threads.

Brass threads are normally 26tpi 55deg aren't they? That would mean a thread depth of about .025", so you will need a drill .050" smaller or so. A 17/64 would be about .045" smaller.
