Earlier this year I made two knife blocks for a high school. They have ordered 6 more which involves accurately producing 42 pieces....so after reading about it in AWR a while back I contacted a CNC service and so far I'm really impressed with their customer service and price.

My questions - is there anything I need to ask or check before I hand over the timber ?
Has anyone ever used a professional CNC service and were you satisfied ?

Cheers

Spell out exactly what you want in writing. Include all dimensions and which way you would like the grain alligned.
If it's not written down, it didn't happen.

Don't forget to include a tolerance in the dimensions... ie 22.6mm ± 0.5mm etc
