Pepper & Salt Mills

Hi All,

Ordered a couple of Salt & Pepper mills from Timberbits in the hope to turn them up over the Christmas break. I have downloaded the instructions but no where does it mention how tall I should make them.
I have ordered the 10" kits, so does this mean the overall length is 10" for the outside?

Hi, I would make them to finish up just over 10", another alternative is to measure the shaft, minus the amount for the nut, and add on the 12mm recess for the workings.

Shoey, Don't worry if you make them a little shorter. The shafts can easily be cut down to suit.

The shafts on the ones i get cant be cut down so check first that they will work if you do. Turn the base first minuse about how big you want the top put the grinder and shaft in this should tell you how big the top is.
