I am new in this hobby and I just purchased a circular saw Hitachi C9 which I am going to mount on a Triton 2000 workcentre. I like to know what blade I should get that can do general jobs well. I am going to use it mainly for furniture making and I don't want to change blade often. What brand should I get? Irwin, carbitool, CMT, bevel and others? I have seen lots of info about CMT orange on the net but the one that I can buy in Perth in not the orange one. Can anybody help.

G'day
Go to a saw works and get a quality (reasonable) blade. Personally I wouldn't buy anything from new zealand.
This does not mean really expensive, no need to over do it.
They may even have a second hand blade.
If you are crosscutting as well as ripping I think a 40 tooth alternate bevel maybe 20 degrees should be ok.
Ask them if they could check to see if it needs hammering.
Cheers
Rod

Any particular brand I should go for. I am not familiar with all the available brands except for the big names like dewalt, hitachi, makita etc. But when it comes to saw blade I have no idea which company makes good blade?
