Evening all,
I've been playing with this for a while now and as the title suggests, it isn't my first attempt . Woods used are King Billy Pine, Camphor, Huon & Cedar. There was supposed to be another Cedar ring around the outside but I stuffed it up.

The finish is Kunos Oil and isn't as shiny as the pics suggest, they were taken after applying coats but before wiping off.

Hey Corbs
Looks fantastic. I like the 'direction' you have taken with your woodworking. Although you may get 'lost' in your work.

It all points to the degree of precision needed and good layout to make sure that the whole job doesn't go west.

Orienteering of the grain to ensure that it is heading in the right direction has a bearing on this also.

My turn Corbs well done of course

Good to see your thinking Laterally and circumnavigating issues such as longitudinal grain split orientating the pattern the way you have.

Jeesh - will you guys stop needling the artiste.

He went to a lot a trouble, circumnavigating troubles and issues to create a true reference, pointing the way for those with the courage to follow.

Well done sir.
