A serious question please. What sort of volume is needed for an urn for a persons ashes?

I may just need to turn one and the cremation is tomorrow so a quick answer would be greatly appreciated.

Just measured the box my mil is in, 225mmx 110mm x 85mm. (9" x 41/4" x 31/4"). That is a standard cremation plastic "Brick" box. It is designed to fit into the space a standard clay house brick would occupy. She resides in the cupboard behind me and is very quiet. :D

She may not be all there as thats 124 cubic inch.

I got those numbers from urn sellers that state that all their urns are 200 cubic Inch?

my mothers dog is all there and he was a maltese, he's about as much as your MIL, 5x5x5 inch is 125.
My brothers in the plastic square pickle jar they give them to you in and thats about 6 inch square, thats 216...

8" Tall will give you just over the 200 cubic inches. That is inside measurements.

The formula is: Pi r squared by length.
