Hi Sandy, You are right . Your work is improving , in fact it is really getting good in my opinion. Glad you like your razortip , myself i use a solid tip German made burner that my family gave me for Christmas but i received in late November it suits my style just fine . I like the preening parrots and can see that you have mastered the art .

artme, I trace the outline of the subject, and the shape of the eyes and nose. (for proportion) The rest is done by sight from a photo as shown here.
I'm working on something a little new to me at the moment, I will post it whether it works out on not when it's done :)
