I am thinking of buying a Record morticing machine but it seems that the hole that takes the chisel is a little larger than the standard (or is that commonly available) chisel size. are there a number of chisel sizes and if so, who sells them?
Thanks.

Got one of dem, had the quill bored to the right size by an engineering works.
Don't try to do it yourseld with a drill, the engineering place used a reamer on a lathe and it took about 10 minutes.
I can now use 'standard' chisels.

Hi Dennis,
There is a bushing you can purchase unfortantly not made by record,

You might have more chance of getting one from a importer of Chinese/Taiwan Mortice machines or chisels........

Oh! Have a look at this page, picture 8 shows the bushing
