Hi all,

I am thinking about building a wood lathe for my self, the "cheap training" lathe I purchased still works but is showing its limitations.

can anyone point me in the direction where I may be able to get a spindle for the head and tail stock, which has a morse taper inside and the proper thread on the outside.

IF anyone has a plan for a lathe feel free to show me that as well.

Kev.

PS, Doorstop, I dont have the space for your BBBL!

I heard a bit more about it yesterday from Ray at BEENATREE.

Most lathe manufacturers sell the spindles etc. or you could get your own made, but that would probably cost more than your beginners lathe.

Try Allan Wolfenden Machinery 03 9338 3300 or your nearest woodturning supplier. For yto that would be Beenatree (Loch), Vic Wood (Burwood) or The Woodsmith (Kilsyth)
