My mate has a pile of very large Macrocarpa cypress he is keen on getting milled. Located near Batlow NSW. How much per day would be a ball park figure for having the stuff milled on site with something like a Lucas Mill? There are about 10 to 12 very large trees involved...they were around the 100 foot mark.

I know that is one of those...how long is a piece of string questions but he is keen not to get done over.

Any help advice, suggestions welcomed.

I will be milling at Tumut in May if that's of any help. What are the log lengths we are working with and what breast height diameters (roughly)?
A bit of an idea on what sizes are required or if they are to be slabbed only would vary the price quite a bit. Can you tell me a bit about the site ie access,
flat, cleared etc.

Price isn't the only way your mate can get done over - any mill will only cut as well as the chap using it... anyone can be an owner, but not many can be an operator
