Nope but surely you'll be able to source an insert from somewhere that'll fit.

Maybe but would you spend that sort of money to find out it will be a paperweight.

Hughie being masterful manufacture of mystical metal work surely he could turn up and insert.

Sorry DJ I dont know for sure.

We continually get guys coming in with chucks want to change the adaptors but neither the Nova or vicmarc fit so they are snookered unless they have a mate who can do the job .

Generally they have weird threads and their mates sit them on the paper.

looks the goods, but I would stick with teknatool or vicmarc just because of accessibility to accessories!

I would bet a few pence that the Hurricane chuck is made not to far north of AU.

These are made in China. I bought this, used for $50. Barracuda2 Lathe Key Chuck System at Penn State Industries (http://www.pennstateind.com/store/CSC3000C.html)

I find it to be as good as the same size Oneway. I doubt it will last as long as the Oneway, but for now it does fine. I had to buy a $20 adapter to put it on my 33 X 3.5 thread Hegner. I was quite surprised to find very little runout with the chuck way out on the end.

I found a reference to ebay and found this: Hurricane 4 Jaw Woodturning Chuck 4" w Dovetail Jaws HTC100 Wood Lathe | eBay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hurricane-4-Jaw-Woodturning-Chuck-4-w-Dovetail-Jaws-HTC100-Wood-Lathe-/150930379881?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item232426d469)

The shipping may make a Vicmarc the same price.
