first try with scraper

Now that I got my scraper from Jim Carrol :U
I made this blackwood bracelet.

I struggled getting the inside smooth - I think i would need a hollowing out scraper or some other tool for that purpose as I couldn't get a good angle with my one, but When gripped in my chuck in expanding mode, I got a great chance to try out the scraper's ability. Really pleased with the results compared to other things I've done in the past with Blackwood which sometimes has scratchy end grain.

Hope you like it - it's my first bracelet but I'm sure I will be doing some more!

If you have a spare skew from your set, you could make it into a 45 degree scraper. That would reach into the bangle.

Sometimes you just have to sand, sand, sand.

The woodcut negative rake one. If angling up at 45º it gives light thin shavings. If angling down at 45º it gives off juat powder for a great finish. Started sanding at 320 grit - no need to do anything lower than that!
