Hi Everyone, not sure if this has been asked before, but does anyone know of where i could go and check out wood turning, like a wood guilde or something. I live in Penrith so as close as possible is better, but i am willing to travel a little (i travel to Lidcombe for Tafe 2 nights a week).
Cheers.

Hi Hornet
there are 2 regional groups of the Sydney Woodturners Guild out your way - the Hawkesbury group and the Western and Blue Mountains. Check out http://www.sydneywoodturners.com.au/ .
There is also a separate Blue mountains Woodturning group - I think they have a link on the Sydney Guild site. I am sure any of these groups would make you welcome.
Alternatively, I go to the Hornsby district meetings, which are actually held at Annangrove - which is probably closer to Penrith than Hornsby. We would also welcome you.
cheers
Colin
