Six weeks confined to barracks is far too long. As soon as the sentence was completed, there was a cloud of dust and a loud yahoo, and the shed burst into life. First thing was a bit of a tidy up, this uncovered an unused segmented disc, actually there were three.
Not one of my better pieces, but it is ok. Swmbo, said it looks like a car Tyre,, but then I agree.
Made from black walnut with silver ash lines, it 340mm diameter and 110mm deep.
What do you reckon?

Philistines would call it a car tyre
I think its is a great testament to your skills.
At 340mm it is quite a testament
What is your plan with them?

Hello powderpost,
It can only be a tyre if it goes round and round. So if it walks like a duck
and goes quack quack, then it is a lovely segmented bowl, me thinks. Drillit.

Methinks you need to take your good ladies glasses into the workshop and give them a good clean. This is a stunning piece of work.As for 6 weeks away, I'd crack up after 6 days, you did well to last that long.

What is it rated at, I'll have a set for my ute ;)
Pretty awesome what ever it looks like. Love the detail - some segmenting there. One of the blokes in my turning club has won heaps of prizes and ribbons for segmented works and I think he would be impressed if he saw it.
