Anyone own one of these?

Carba-TecŪ Sliding Router Table : CARBA-TEC (http://www.carbatec.com.au/carba-tec-sliding-router-table_c2670)

Any general opinions or thoughts? Compatible with Triton router TRA001 by any chance?

Im not buying it, i just came into ownership of it so am going to head home to begin tinkering with it :)

Not a lot of info in the description. Maybe a oblique call to Carbatec?

Hi Delbs
I have the Hare and Forbes version, virtually identical, but Carbatec didn't want to take my money (Weren't interested in price matching).
The cast iron table needs to be checked in both planes for straightness, especially after the big Triton router is fitted.
Pay particular attention to the alignment of the sliding table against the cast iron table. They need to be in alignment so there is no 'step' to catch timber sliding over both surfaces.
Another thing to be careful with is the sharp edges on the frame, and make sure you know where your fingers are when lowering the tilted table back down on to the base!
The big Triton router is ideal in this table.
Hope all works out O.K for you.

Thanks for your reply Uncle Al, I suppose i will find all these questions out once i pick it up on sunday but im assuming i would need to drill mounting holes for the triton to fit into? It wouldnt take a insert plate would it :) I think im pushing my luck there.

Yeah i was told to watch out for the tilting adjust get to the router underneath and also the sliding mechanism to ensure it doesnt grab and is flat. Ill look into this. I currently have a triton router table so i will see how this compares and then decide what to use.

The Triton router (and probably any router) is held by four clamps. It gets a touch fiddly holding the router up while adjusting the clamps. It can be done by yourself, but a bit easier if SWMBO or similar can assist for a couple of minutes.
The beauty of the Triton is that cutters can be changed above the table after the switch is locked off.
Try and get the cutter central in the steel cover plate, and think about the position of the height adjusting knob when positioning the router.
Hoe it all goes well for you.
