I got a surprise today when Sue came home. she brought home a nice bag ......no not Sue,:doh: (not that I am into bags).

This was brought back from Strahan Tasmania where a lovely lady Peggy (age 94) and her son visited Tasmania's Special Timbers (https://www.facebook.com/TasmaniasSpecialTimbers?directed_target_id=0) over the last few weeks. What an amazing smell my office now has.
Thanks to the guys in the shop for assisting in finding such nice blanks of Huon Pine.
The Honey is Leatherwood from Cradle Mountain yum.

Ray, if I recall correctly, you are allergic to quality timber, I'll swap you some Pinus Crapiarta for the Huon. PC doesn't small and will not affect your delicate sensibilities:;

Pat not sure what you been drinking or sniffing but such an offer if I took it up would mean I'd have to be effected by sensibilities :q small or otherwise

Go back to what ever it is your hacking up with an axe n chainsaw on the lathe

The bigger pieces are already reserved for the worthy . . . I might even run a few over the jointer to allow for easier milling on a bandsaw. They are about 100mm diameter.

That reminds me, I should seal them too:;
