Does anyone know if these units are sold in Australia, & if so where.

What about the 2nd hand market.

I had one when based in the US. The saw generated many comments; for and against.

I must admit - I liked the sliding mitre table - it can be quite accurate once set up correctly.

Any pointers appreciated
(and yes I know top of the line Jet/Deltas are better .... )

Bunnings are the only place I've seen any of the new Ryobi line, but they only have the bottom end table saw. Give Ryobi a call - check www.yellowpages.com.au (http://www.yellowpages.com.au) or www.ryobi.com.au (http://www.ryobi.com.au) - and make sure you ask them about the availability of any accessories you need before you buy (if it's available).

From my experience with their new thicknesser, I'd say even the bottom end Jet or Delta saws would be better http://ubb.ubeaut.com.au/ubb/smile.gif www.gregmach.com (http://www.gregmach.com) or www.woodmangroup.com (http://www.woodmangroup.com) for Jet or www.carbatec.com.au (http://www.carbatec.com.au) for Delta.

For second hand, check out your local papers or www.tradingpost.com.au (http://www.tradingpost.com.au) - though the better small table saws don't come up often, and go quickly when they do.

Hi Ian, had one these some time back ...they have two drive belts that burn out readily in trying to deal with our Australian timbers.Not cheap to replace at $19.00 ea.

Used to be freely available but suggest you search the Oz Ryobi Web page.
Haven't seen them around for a while.

Glad I sold mine when I did.
Good idea but not practible I feel for local uses.
