Mmmm, some ok benches but nothing outstanding. 90% of the bench builds on here would be better and all would come in at less $ too.

Not wrong in $ terms. My first work bench lasted me 30+ years (now with a nephew).

Cost....scrounged the timber .... nicked the old mans glues, screws and bolts. Cost to me zero, enjoyment in making and using ..unmesurable

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't advocating that anyone should part with their well earned $$$s, it was for some of the design ideas that may appeal to anyone wanting to build a bench.
