I am trying to figure out how to mount a small flat screen tv behind a backrest in a caravan.
It can either slide up & down vertically, and lock at the top of the slide,....or it can swing away from the backrest.....up.......and back to above the backrest in a 180 degree arc and lock at the top & bottom of the arc.
If the arc method is used, the screen must face the backrest at both the top & bottom of the arc. (in other words, the tv remains in the vertical plane throughout the arc)
The sliding option is preferred. The tv is 290mm high, and 450mm wide, so the vertical motion need to = or slightly exceed 300mm.
My first though was some kind of drawer runners, so I wondered if anyone who has had some experience of various drawer runners might be able to suggest a suitable one, or if there is another way of doing this reasonably easily with some proprietary bracket that swings through 180 degrees, and does not protrude very far from the mounting surface. (50mm max)
Cheers.
Phill.
