finished the surian cedar bals today! used the pattern to my advantage by running skateboard wheels on the maximum diameter! worked really well, it took the flex out of it.
also a personal best hit 4 an hour in the last 2 hours of turning! happy they are finished!
120 by 120 posts to turn next week!

I thought I was at the finish line and the boss came over and asked me to turn a few more just in case! the surian is nice to turn I must admit! and work is buying me a 3M faceshield with a belt fan / filter!
feel like a woodturner again!

Chuck, make sure the faceshield & browguard is rated for high velocity impacts.

Your steady looks more user friendly than the encircling variety.

it's the woodturning faceshield by 3M designed for wood turning looks more robust than the originals!
the steady is very user-friendly the smallest diameter I've used it on is 31 mm. and the last bit I sand is where the wheels are! it would be more effective if I turned the bal's the other way around!

thankyou tea lady
