Hello,
I've been commissioned to make a few things for Christmas and these are two of them.
First one is cypress, and the second is blackwood. Finished with oil.
It had been so long since I'd made a bowl and I'd almost forgotten how difficult end grain can be...

Thanks everyone. It was a very shabby and shoddy piece of Blackwood at first glance but it was well worth it. Just shows that sometimes the most weathered and non descript pieces can yield something nice.
