Does anyone know if they are back up? I clicked on their link and something was downloaded to my computer. I deleted it without opening it, but wonder what's going on.

It's really strange isn't it? Surely something must be going on as they must be losing a heck of a lot of business by having the site down.

Has anyone actually called in at McJing's recently?

Max has said they are working on fixing the site and are still open for business as usual.

Ok, but I just find it unusual for a web site to be down for this long (several weeks) - oh well.

I had been on the site the day before Chris posted or maybe 2 days prior that was 4th Nov its now only 23rd Nov. I do believe they run their own server as well as the business 6 days a week plus going OS as they both do for buying etc.

I must agree with you tho it must be serious to be down so long, lets hope it comes back soon bigger and brighter.:2tsup:

I checked the site yesterday and no problem after seeing your post I just checked and yes McJings site has a download :oo: now which of course no one should download.

I shall try contact Max and Jane ASAP.

Sounds to me like they are the victim of a hack, nasty trojan or the like.

I just tried again after reading others replies as I said I got on a couple of days ago no problem but today again this message from Firefox.

This Connection is Untrusted

You have asked Firefox to connect securely to www.mcjing.com.au, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.

Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.
What Should I Do?

If you usually connect to this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn't continue.

www.mcjing.com.au uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is only valid for mcjing.com.au (Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)

Same as Rod, FF doesn't trust it.

garym

Hmmmm, my firefox works but my ie and opera don't which probably means that sometime in the past I accepted their invalid certificate.

This is the problem:

The server's name "www.mcjing.com.au" does not match the certificate's name "mcjing.com.au;mcjing.com.au"

It is probably a web developer's typo and can be worked around by dropping the "www." off the URL - however there is no way to determine that it isn't a "spoof" so you must use your own judgement. I always recommend the "better safe than sorry" approach.

If anyone is going into McJing perhaps this could be brought to their attention, or perhaps someone could drop them a line.

Seems that McJing's Web Site is down again with a detailed Server Error message this time. It was down on Sunday 12th Jan, and back up again on Monday 13th Jan 2014. Now - Thursday 16th January 2014, it's down again. Hope they get it fixed soon. It's a bit difficult to buy from them when their web site is dead and you're in another state. :(

I agree with you they are good people to deal with it is a real pity the web site seems to let them down again.
Regards Rod.

Guy's I have noted that McJings website returns errors with the checkout using Google Chrome, however, using Internet Explorer everything works fine.

I just want to post about my recent weborder experience with McJing Co.

I bought a PSI Stead-Fast steadyrest and a few other items (no problem adding them to the Cart) and sent off my Checkout Order and after receiving an email confirmation I paid via Direct Deposit. All of this on Wednesday morning. A few hours later I received a friendly call saying it would sent out to me that afternoon. Thursday morning it arrived. Great service!

My only quibble was that my order never had an Order or Invoice number (that I could see anyway) for reference. Unusual.
Still brilliant service - recommended business for tools.
