Suitable Transformer ????

Hi there, I am thinking about the art of Pyrography, but before buying a unit I ahve a question,...I have a Dick Smith soldering station it has variable temperature control and a soldering iron, can anyone tell me if it can be adapted for pyroghraphy?

You can buy a pyrography machine that is much like a soldering iron from Bunnings or art stores for around $30-$50. A soldering iron, even adapted, will not retain the heat properly and you will get sub standard results. The simple solidnd nib tools are cheap and easy and perfect for beginners.

If you then want to invest in something more advanced, get an Ironcore machine. There is nothing that compares.
