HMAS Brisbane reunion

There will be a reunion of the HMAS Brisbane on the weekend of the 14 and 15th January at the Bells Hotel Wooloomooloo Sydney.

I am making a boxed pen with the ships crest on for a raffle with the proceeds to charity. I also have a few pens left from the last Vietnam Veterans collection and will be giving those plus some more I am making to the Vietnam Veterans of the vessel

I attended the reunion on Saturday and was able to give every veteran there a pen and i also made one with the ships crest on the pen and box to be raffled for their choice of charity all proceeds went to the children's hospital. The veterans were over the moon that we had thought of them and were very impressed with what we are doing. Brisbane was the first Australian ship to serve in the Gulf war and was also built for the Vietnam War. There were over 60 veterans pf both wars in attendance. Next year sees the 50th anniversary of the laying of the keel.

Will post some picture when i receive them from my son.
