I have promised various salt/pepper grinders as gifts:
The first pair is a thank you to a macadamia farmer that gave me heaps of Red Cedar, Crows Ash and Camphor Laurel with a single small trunk of Macadamia. These are from some of their Red Cedar and Macadamia and 270mm high. Unfortunately the Red Cedar cracked badly internally in the dehydrator when I dried it before I left on the big trip :(, so I filled them up with coffee grinds to give it the tiger look . The wife has arthritis in her hands, so I made the balls slightly smaller than my normal size to help.

The second pair is a thank you to another macadamia farmer that gave me heaps of Red Cedar and Red Ash (although club got most of it). Unfortunately the piece of Red Cedar I had from his farm shrunk too much in the dehydrator to use :~, so made these from a nice spalted piece of his Red Ash, and Macadamia from the other farmer. These too are 270mm high.

This set is a wedding present for my nephew, from Banksia 200mm high and spalted Red Ash 210mm high. I had some end grain tear out (chunk) on the Banksia, so trimmed a bit off the bottom, but then forgot to do the same off the Red Ash

These are singles, some Avacado 210mm high as a house warming gift and my original cast Tas Myrtle Burl with blood red and red russet pearlex resins 320mm high. I made this some time ago, but dropped it at a demo a while back onto a concrete slab :o where it broke into numerous pieces . I glued it up again a while back but didn't refinish it till today.

All finished with Hard Shellac on the inside and gloss NCL on the outside :2tsup:.
Cheers
