tea lady 31st December 2013, 10:00 AM Suppository of wisdom. Osage Orange and Solomon's Ebony. Chased threads. Finished with Rustin's danish oil. Appropriate things can be put inside, and hopefully even he won't be able to forget about it.

A Duke 31st December 2013, 10:21 AM Ya like the guy who went back to the chemist and said " For all the good it did me I might as well have stuck it up my ####."
We better watch it or it will go the same way as your pencil sharpener.

As for which polititian, which has been deleated from the title, is a quote from the man himself, so just google Liberals squirm as Abbott refers to 'the suppository of wisdom' (http://www.smh.com.au/federal-politics/federal-election-2013/liberals-squirm-as-abbott-refers-to-the-suppository-of-wisdom-20130812-2rryy.html).
powderpost 1st January 2014, 09:31 PM Nice piece, osage orange takes a nice thread too doesn't it?
Jim
tea lady 1st January 2014, 11:34 PM Yep. Sure does.
This piece was made for an exhibition that was commenting on politics, the media and censorship. A little bizarre that someone complained about it. Or maybe fitting. Controversy on the WWF. :U
Mobyturns 2nd January 2014, 07:26 AM Goodonya TeaLady. Political Art - we need more of it if the wood turning community is going to get noticed by mainstream media. But I guess this will end up in the draw alongside his other gaffes.

I must say I was surprised when the thread disappeared for a while. It's a lovely piece of work and should be mounted facing the front benches, titled, the truth can hurt.
A Duke 2nd January 2014, 09:17 AM May be it wasn't a gaff, being most of them sit on their brains.

tea lady 2nd January 2014, 11:27 AM Better not cast any more nasturtiums towards the pollies or the thread will get closed.:D
