Hi Turners,:)
I purchaced a preloved skew 16 x 3 mm section sharpened at
45deg.(instead of the usual 70 deg.)bevel about 38 deg. included angle.
Found it didn't cut well ,maybe because it had been touched up with a
diamond lap many times . It has a curved cutting edge and I thought it may
have been used as a negitive rake scraper(Cindy Drozda style)for small
bowls or lidded boxes
Can anyone throw some light on its use]file:///C:/Users/MERV/Pictures/Tools/DSCF1687.JPGfile:///C:/Users/MERV/Pictures/Tools/DSCF1687.JPG file:///C:/Users/MERV/Pictures/Tools/DSCF1687.JPG Attachment picture
Sorry my attempt to include a pic failed

I have a scraper that came with a set that is those dimensions. Not sharpened like a scraper, but with the skew angle like that. Perhaps whoever had it tried to turn it into something useful. You can change it into what ever you want. Its just a chunk of tool steel.
