I made these up to simplify the process of locating screw hole positions in handle blanks. Pictured are templates for dovetail, small and large backsaw, and Disston D-8 thumbhole. These will be placed over the sawn stock blank and 5/32" pilot holes will be bored.

The other went through the same way. Need to use a backer board when drilling pilot holes.

You look like your setting up for some major production runs...

You don't clamp your work when using the counterbore??

Sure, I use a quick clamp. Moved it out of the way for the pictures.

I made up some more of these today to cover new (to me) designs.

They are from the upper left a Wenzloff style dovetail, Disston D-8 crosscut, Wenzloff Harvey Peace crosscut, Disston D-7, triple cove backsaw, Wenzloff half-back and a double cove dovetail/carcass, my version of Stewie's dovetail handle (http://www.woodworkforums.com/showthread.php?t=183771). The aluminum plates are the hole drilling guides and the polycarbonate outlines are the guides for drawing the profile on planks.
