Hi All,

2 questions...

1) Still looking for a recommendation on finishes for indoor Redgum tables - I am loath to use an epoxy coating but am not sure if oil will give the gloss finish I am looking for.

2) Any tips on how I prevent the black epoxy I am using to fill the knot holes from staining the surrounding timber during the inevitable overfill? Should I coat the area with a clear epoxy first or use kerosene as some have suggested?

Hi Marcus, I use masking tape and cut away where necessary. This is ok for large veins but could get tedious if you have lots of small ones. See my post under general woodwork
