Hi everyone, Shedbounds wife here just wondering if in your opinions is it worth fixing an old leather saddle up to use.Underneath(the saddle tree) has worn through from wear,in your opinions would you strip saddle back and repad underneath? Any suggestions how you would go about it
Thankyou for your time

If it's a quality saddle and not a generic Indian one I'd take it to a saddler. Probably wouldn't cost too much to have it repacked and repaired. A lot less than a new saddle anyway.
Somewhere like Horseland would be able to point you in the right direction.

Canterlining a saddle is a real skill and should be done professionally.
