Hi guys i was wondering if anyone has come up with a jig for their router or trimmer for cutting hinges. And if you do can you share yr design you came up with.

one of rocker's mortising jigs would probably do the trick, if doing many hinges it is often better to make a template for each hinge type and use template bushings though imho. That way you don't loose your settings if you need the jig for something else

Do you want to mortice in standard hinges or do you want to make hinges out of wooden stock?

Noodle Snacks is correct; I regularly use my morticing jig (see http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com.au/showthread.php?t=5633 ) for cutting hinge mortices.

You can buy a metal jig for this, i have seen it in power tool shops is pretty cool, it was also at the WWW sydneny, retails for around 100 bucks,
