I am excited by the fact that I am about to purchase a singer 29K58, with treadle, from an 80 year old bootmaker. Internet articles suggest they are a rare machine and an engineering marvel with their walking foot and the foot's ability to turn with the sewer operating the wings that are provided. Apparently this model was made in Scotland in the 1930's. I have read previous threads on this forum about restoration etc but I understand this one to be in good working order.
Any comments would be appreciated re best source for parts and of course anything you would like to add. i want to give it a new coat of paint and make a table for it that I saw also on the internet.
I want to make up some bee veils with it and also make a new key holder from some 'roo hide. Does anyone know where I can get some good quality key holders that I can rivet on to the piece.
