gold leaf on tooled leather

I have made the leather insert and tooled the design... but the next step adding gold leaf to the design is tricky any ideas??

G'Day Jono, I just did a "google" search for "adding gold leaf" and got heaps of info.... including "you tube" videos.. Cheers, crowie

The normal method is to add the design and gold leaf at the same time with heated irons, it takes a long time to learn the trade and get it perfect.
The process it quite different to the normal gilding of objects
