Hi all. This backsaw build started out under the post Frankenhandle. As Marv Werner made comment, the name doesn't fairly reflect the final look of the saw. As such I am showing these completed photo's as new post.
This saw build also gave me the opportunity to try out Isaac Smiths Rakemaker II with the level attachment. A great asset to use for hand sharpening a saw. In my opinion its use should be given serious consideration by all saw sharpeners regardless of their skill level. On this saw, I sharpened the teeth at 14 tpi ; 10 degree rake angle; rip tooth.
The handle wood is Burdekin Plum. To add some additional patina to the natural wood appearance I incorporated a mix of Van Dyke Crystals within the shellac final finish.
This photo shows the natural Burdekin Plum appearance with single coat of shellac.

And here you can see the completed saw.

I am very happy with the final look of the saw. Hopefully you will also like what you see.
