Greetings
Here are some snaps of a small Glue Pot I picked up a while back.
Lovely castings;came half full of dried glue.
Have not tried it out yet;too scared I might knock it off the bench.
Cheers

Very cute.

I love the fact that it has a lid.
I have a couple of iron pots, but neither have a lid. I have to cover them with a rag to prevent shavings/dust getting into the glue.

I use hide glue enough that I like to keep glue in the pots ready to go.

I bit nicer looking than a 3 litre plastic bottle of Titebond 3.

A nice antique, to be sure. I have an old cast-iron double pot ('standard' size), but only used it a few times before I went out & bought a wax pot - so much more convenient (& it has a lid, too!). :U

That is incredible, I have an identical glue pot. I have had this one for a long time and used it for repair jobs. I found the biggest problem was preventing the water in the jacket from boiling. To overcome this I had a small square of 6mm thick steel plate on top of a metho burner, even so it took a fair bit of supervision to prevent the glue over heating.
