My wife and I are going on the long awaited (for us) Woodturning Cruise in Norway in August, and I hope to be able to inform Forum members of our impressions and post some photos when we return. Are there limits to photos, or limits to amount of info in the notes? Is it okay to post in the Woodturning General category? I don't wish to bore or upset anyone, so would like some info re the post I hope to do when we return. The cruise is from August 11 to Aug 23, but we will be away from Aug 5 to Sept 19. Thanks for any input from anyone. Doug. :U

I don't think you'll bore us, make us jealous perhaps, but I for one would love to hear about your trip.

Hope you enjoy the cruise. I have had the opportunity to chat to a few of the people who are demonstrating on there this year and they are very helpful. Every time I have seen Mark Baker it cost me more money in tools.

In regards to photos better to upload smaller file size photos, not necessary smaller photos. Best to try and upload and if you have difficulty contact the moderators. If all of them do not fit in the one post upload to the next post within the same thread. It would be fine to upload to Woodturning General category.

Do not be concern about boring or upsetting anyone and not just for this subject for any subject, post as often as you like. This is after all is an open site.

The only way the pics will upset me is by making me jealous that I couldn't be there.

Fellas, thanks for your comments. WiFi is available on board, but only for email purposes, not for large photo files, but will see what I can do. I spoke with Richard Raffan at the Sydney WWW Show as he is going again, and he assured me that it will be a great trip. We have had nothing but assistance from the organisers of the cruise since we started looking at it, and they have answered or followed up and then answered all our questions very well, so I don't think we will have any problems there. There may yet be one cabin available if anyone on the Forum is interested. Just Google Woodturning Cruise Norway. I will do what I can to make some posts while away, and give an overall view once we get back. Doug. :U
