Hi, just like to share this bit of wood with you all. I first turned it in 1994/5 and was very proud of it (even with it's borer holes etc. Was too nice a lump of timber to discard). The bowl came with me when I moved in 2003 and has been on the shelf with a heap of other 'masterpieces' in my study. The shape was either from an old ceramic bowl Granny had (or maybe her chamber pot?).
Since looking at the work my mate Pommy Phil has been turning out, I thought my Jacaranda piece looked decidedly chunky and so I put it on the lathe and fined it down a bit. A couple wipes of WOP and here it is, warts and all.

I am sure you are even more proud of it now after giving it a new lease of life. Looks good with all the natural inperfections.:)

A nice bowl, I think the chamber pot description may be correct. :U

Nice. Nice warts too. I like holes. Mightn't work so well as a chamber pot though. :D
