Going to buy some PVC pipe to set up more permanent dust collection.
Anyone know any cheap suppliers in Brissy?

I wish I knew.
I have picked up a couple of 'make do' pieces from a demo bloke in Coorparoo and I nearly fell over when I saw Bunnings prices. I would suggest a quick ring around your nearest trade suppliers. Or ask a plumber if you see his ute parked on the street.
I will be watching this thread if anyone else has better options.
Cheers

Ring all the trade suppliers (Reece, tradelink, etc) in the yellow pages. I have accounts but when I didn't I always got better than hardware prices this way. The same is true for most other materials. Only buy from the hardware if you have no choice or the quantities are small.

One is bound to give you a reasonable price.

Dont get it from bunnings. Even Mitre 10 had a better price when worked back to a per meter cost.

Do you recall the Mitre 10 price at all?
Had a look at Bunnings the other day just to check their price and 6 metres of 100mm pipe going for $48, i.e. $8 per metre.

6 metres of 100mm pipe going for $48.
Doh................

I paid $22.00 per length the other day in Syd (90mm stormwater pipe) i got it from an independent plumbing supplies.

PS Recee is a rip off unless you have a discount set up with them.

be carefull. 90mm SWV is an awfull lot cheaper than 100mm sewer.
90mm is also much nastier and a lot smaller than you would think in comparison to 100mm.
You want 100mm for dust extraction at least.
