david.elliott 19th September 2014, 04:56 PM you may wish to explore cut vinyl letters. These come on two backing sheets, one that does the adhesive side, and one for the non adhesive side.
You take off the sheet on the adhesive side, place where you need, rub down and then remove the other sheet.
This way you have the least coverage getting in the way of the timber...

Pearo 20th September 2014, 09:36 AM I have a machine to cut those stickers. Unfortuantly I am still in the throngs of moving house so probaby cant help just yet. If you need them fast, then a signmaker is who you want to visit. The material they make it with is like contact, they cut it out then remove the unwanted stuff by hand, so dont expect it to be cheap. The material comes in 600mm and 1200mm widths, so you could get a few made at the same time.
China 21st September 2014, 01:27 AM When you contact a sign maker, make sure you explain what you want; "vinyl letters" are a little bit bit more complicated to apply, a "digital print" is just like a sticker peel off the backing and apply.
Vinyl lettering is used in specialist applictions these days Digital print is fast becomming the norm in the sign industry

ZAZZ is one of those websites that sells REALLY IMPORTANT STUFF for only one day and you have to order on the day or it's gone! OK, I admit that the thongs (flip flops?) with artificial grass on the top are probably OTT but ... they occasionally sell kids height stickers which appear to be printed on matt clear self adhesive film designed to be stuck on painted walls. Maybe something like that where the layout is done for you?

Never thought of that. The flat bed printers they use for corflute might be the go! Print directly to the timber itself!
