We are often a little too hard upon ourselves...BUT you know the look you want Mike, so I'm still enjoying the front row seat..Peter

Fozzy,

I agree with Crowie, I think it looks good. A coat of red paint and some lights - don't scrap it yet - but of course up to you.

All the Best

Have you thought about softening the lines of it by radius curves and round over bits to make it more aesthetically pleasing as well as user friendly. I think that may help

fozzy767
15th December 2014, 12:39 AM
After sleeping on it, I think I can fix it. The edges are rounded over. My daughter wanted it wood colored instead of red. Which creates a problem of using wood to basically make different colors ie, bumper ladder etc etc

Much improved. Amazing what a difference a bit of detail makes.
I am sure most children would love it, even if in your eyes it is not right.

Hi fozzy767,

You are doing a great job with the fire truck. There is nothing wrong with the fire truck
and now that you are adding some detail to it it looks so good. Fenders and running boards is a good idea. I really like the fire truck top stuff. :2tsup::2tsup:

Cheers Graham.

I think when we build something we have a vision of what it's going to look like. If it's not going the way I think it should I get nervous. You wouldn't believe what I pitch or burn when things go awry

At least your decisions are final. The things that I make that I am not happy with tend to stay in the garage until I finally do a clean out.

I think we as the builders of things can be our own worst enemy when it comes to how we want something to look and be finished. Many a time I have built either a complete project or part of a project for it to end in the bin. Just trying to alter a small piece will not just do.

The toy box is looking great from where I sit
