Hi All,

Looking to replace the mohair/weather strip in a sliding aluminium window frame in my 70's double brick unit and just trying to work out the best way to go about it. The channels for the mohair sit inside the sliding grooves so i was thinking I'd have to remove the frame, unscrew it so i could then feed the mohair into it and screw it all back together and reinstall. Problem is the frame has a fairly prominent lip on the outside edge that looks to slot into the gap between the double brick to hold it in place, and looking at how the frame is screwed together it looks like it was installed when the outside wall was up and then the internal brick wall was put in, hence can't be removed on its own.

Would this be right? If so how do you go about replacing weather stripping in these things?

Cheers,
Dave
