Austin_Turner 27th December 2014, 10:00 PM Where do people buy drum-sander sandpaper rolls? I just bought a Jet 22/44 Sander and picked up a couple of rolls from Carbatec to test on/ use as a template, but would like to know where the best place to get paper is? I/m guessing getting bigger rolls and cutting it myself might be much more cost effective? Mostly interested in buying and posting or better just buying online, happy to buy from overseas if it is cheaper for a good quality product.
Cheers,
Austin

I get mine from The Sandpaperman....a sponsor on the forum.
Look through this LINK (http://www.woodworkforums.com/showthread.php?t=173943&highlight=drum+sander) that we have previously had this discussion.

Wot Skot said. I usually buy 10m rolls, 50 sheets and 100 discs of the grades I want. Service is quick, price is good.

Just read the reference post. In future, I'll buy multiples of the length needed.

Thanks guys. Do you contact them to buy specific lengths? It looks fairly cost effective at 25m rolls even with waste.
Anyone else that people use?
skot 29th December 2014, 09:44 AM I just checked The Sandpaperman site and looks like you can only get them in 10m & 25m rolls.
My last order was for 25m rolls & they were approx $74 (+GST)....they are now about $58 (+GST)....see The Sandpaperman Site (http://www.thesandpaperman.com.au/76-mm-wide-x-25-metre-x-100-grit-sia-2920-siawood-Cloth.html)

Thanks, that's why i was wondering how people kept talking about custom lengths. I'll see what grits i like and buy them by the 25m roll. Good to see them priced competitively.
