View Full Version : Turpentine?

I found an interesting length of wood at the Canberra Brickworks (Thor's Hammer, he calls himself). The bloke who sold it to me told me it was 'turpentine'. Turpentine as a solvent I know, and I guess it must come from somewhere...
I've never used it before - can anyone tell me if it needs any special handling? I want to make picture frames.
TIA

Hi Johnno
I have used a bit of Turpentine (Lustre), it is hard and heavy and takes a good finish, grows along the East Coast of Australia, looks similar to Brush Box.Picture frames should look good.
Cheers
