Hey all,
Not sure if anyone can help, but I figured I will post and see what happens (will be grateful for any advice). I have a Fisher and Paykel Model E522B 520L Product Number 11682, I suspect that the part 882780P MODULE CONTROL/DISP NON BC ST3 (pictured below) is faulty

Now as I understand it (F&P are not open on the weekend), this module has been replaced with part 838196P (which is basically a combined Power and control Module, perhaps to get the electronics out of the fridge).

Now if this is the case, it is probably a good thing, as it means I don't need to be concerned that the issue is actually in the Power module as I will be replacing both.
I basically have 2 questions (assuming the above is correct), is this a plug and play arrangement, I am confident with a multimeter and working with power (well enough to know to treat everything as if it could kill you), but I just want to make sure they have not made it more complicated than that. The second question is, given the symptoms and analysis below, would you agree that it is most likely the control module, or does anyone have any other suggestions for things I should check first?
The symptoms are:
* both fans not functioning, even though I have had the freezer fan out and tested it using a 12V power supply (it works when applied directly to 12V), I am not reading any voltage at the plug for the fan.
* Freezer seems to work effectively, but the fridge is warm (obviously without the fans running this will be the case)
* I have checked the defrost element and it has some resistance, but is not open circuit so I believe this is not an issue (although if the element was the cause then as I understand it, once defrosted for a few days, and turned back on, the fridge should cool down until the ice builds up again)
* Both door switches are functioning, I have tested them with a magnet and the multimeter for continuity at the control module
* This fridge has run for a long time so I am not confident that it should do it, but as I recall, when first turned on, these fridges make some beeping sounds, and I think I have read somewhere if the fridge does not make this noise on startup, then it is a sign the control board may have failed.
* There are several wires leading from the power module to the control module (this is the wiring diagram)

Printed on the circuit board of the Power Module is 0V and 12V on the blue and red wires leading from the power module to the control module.
* Using a multimeter, I am reading 12V DC between these 2 wires, so based on this, the fact that the light comes on in the fridge, and the compressor is getting power, I am assuming the power module is doing it's job, and the control module is receiving power, but only providing power to the light, not the fans etc.
I realise I could pay Fisher and Paykel to come out, but that's $130 plus parts, and the $130 should cover the new module.
Any thoughts, advice, etc., I would greatly appreciate it. Just please no shouldn't have bought a fisher & Paykel comments, the fridge has given good service for over 10 years, so I can't complain about it).
