Can anyone tell me what you use when you wipe your machines down to stop surface rust on the tables appearing that won't have any effect on the timber next time I use the tools.

I was thinking of a linseed oil or something like that. I suppose the best way is keep using them.

thanks in advance

I think you will find that every one has their own favourite.
The big hitters would be:
WD40, inoxx, CRC etc
Lanoguard
traditional wax

The only don't would be silicon based products. The silcon can affect some finishes (plenty of people recon this an old wives tale).
I have never tried linseed oil, but I supect that will pobably attract dust and junk.

don't use vegie oil unless you are aiming to attract ants. I discovered this when I was a kid.
