Harry, I did a search on both names, the only difference I could see was that the Coast Banksia Banksia attenuata is a dwarf plant growing up to 3m in height. while
Coast Banksia Banksia integrifolia grows to a height of about 9m.

Thanks for the info Kev, I just needed to label a table I made with the correct botanical names of the wood I used and because I can't remember how to spell things the two names came up for both Huon Pine and Coastal Banksia. I think I now know the difference between the two Coastal Banksias because of what you said about the diffrent heights, the smaller resembling a Banksia commonly known as a Banksia Pinata. Thanks again Kev

Harry,
Where did you get hold of the banksia? I have rung a few dealers and they know all about banksia nuts but not the wood.
thanks
