Recently I was cornered into upgrading my Laser Engraver, the MPC03 card had failed, I had an upgrade MPC6515 in stock that I had not used; here is my story.
Any useful constructive comments are welcome.

You are a much braver man than me PenTurner.
I find myself in a somewhat similar situation as I soon need to upgrade the electronics on one of the cheap K40 Chinese lasers to a RDC6442S DSP controller.
The machine as it currently stands would no doubt work wonderfully if the supplied software was any good at all, but it uses MoshiDraw. And that is absolutely the worst piece of excreted garbage that has ever been put on the market. It wouldn't matter so much, but the manufacturers then made it so that the machine required a dongle. To protect what???
Any way, I have now got the new controller card (which cost as much as the whole machine) and as soon as my encasted broken foot repairs itself ( 4 weeks to go), I will start on the upgrade.
Respects for undertaking the job with the small amount of information you had.
