I have just come across these videos on Youtube, and found the first and only two I have watched so far both informative and delivered with some humour by the presenter, one Don Bailey, the owner of Suburban Tool. He is very personable if these two videos are anything to go by, and there are some lovely tools in the background as well. Keep your eyes out for his surface plate, a chunk of granite nearly as big as Richards:D, and a good sized cylindrical square as well. I haven't yet watched them but there are vids on all sorts of grinding issues as well as many other aspects of precision machining.

Thanks for the reminder Rob, I need to watch them again. Don is entertaining. Have a look at his indexer and mag chuck clips.

He is a natural presenter, and just a friendly and very knowledgeable guy... I get the impression that Suburban would be a great place to work. His grinding videos are worth watching more than once.

I like watching them, only downside is their sine bar app video... They have made it so that the app is only available in the US... I sent them an email about it but nothing...

They have fixed their sine plate calculator android app...

Anyone should be able to download it now...

Ray should like it as he has a double sine bar...

I also enjoy Dons videos. Suburban Tool have some really nice gear but unfortunately they don't ship a bunch of it to Australia (at least it was that way the last time I inquired). A bit of a shame if it's still the case.

I bought a used 6"x6" Suburban sine plate from the US for less than $100 some time ago, it is a very well made plate.
Don is great on the SG, i get the feeling he has done a hell of a lot of grinding in his time!
